Please be informed of the process for requesting transportation for your student(s) for the 2020-2021 school year. In order to be considered while developing the routes, you must register no later than June 30th.  If registering after this date, it will delay the process and you may be assigned as time and room permits.  Any later than July 10th, you may wait to be assigned until after the start of school as time allows.  If you fall into any of the following categories you must submit a transportation request by completing an online application with our transportation vendor, A&S Transportation.

My student(s) are currently assigned to ride a bus, but I have a new student(s) enrolling for the 2020-2021 school year.
My student(s) are new to the school for the 2020-2021 school year.
My student(s) currently assigned to ride a bus, but our home address has recently changed.

Note: You may only register using your home address.  If it comes up as a place of business it may be declined depending on school’s policy.

If your student(s) is currently on a waitlist, you do not need to complete a new transportation request.  Your place on the waitlist is determined by your original application date. If you are not sure of being on a waitlist, please register.

Existing riders with a change of address, new siblings of existing riders, will be given priority. Other available seats will be assigned on a first come, first served basis pending on eligibility to ride.  Students that are assigned, but have not utilized the bus for two weeks or more, have been removed and will need to re-apply as well.  In order to retain a seat on a bus, you must ride regularly.

Please visit the A&S Transportation website below to request transportation for the 2020-2021 school year.

The website will be available and accepting transportation requests from now through May 1, 2021.  By registering your student(s), you are agreeing to follow and instruct your student(s) on bus behavior, busing is a privilege.  Parents are responsible to have their child at the bus stop 10-15 minutes before the actual stop time, and wait 15 minutes after the stop time for the bus to arrive.  All students must be standing and visible at the stop when the bus arrives.  Drivers will move on to the next stop and will not be able to wait for tardy students.  Only students with a valid A&S bus pass will be allowed to ride the bus. Stops defined: Stops that are over 1.5 miles walking are Depot stops which are meant for students to be driven to and from.  All students of all ages, must have a parent to pick them up from a Depot stop, if not the driver will return them to the school.  Your school may provide “community stops” which allows students to be picked up in one location within the allowable walking distance per the school, to the stop.  Stops are determined by researching them for safety and may only change if we find it necessary to do so. Students are assigned using their home location on record with the school only.  Only one assignment per student and can only be assigned to one bus. Door stops are reserved for special needs students with a valid IEP only. Drivers are not allowed to make any undesignated stops due to safety, so please do not request them to give you any special stop. If this happens, the stop will be eliminated.

A&S Transportation will use the information you provide to confirm eligibility, route and complete bus assignments. When your student(s) have been assigned a bus and a route, this information will be provided to you via e-mail, for those with an e-mail address on file, and through the school.  You will receive your bus assignment a week or two prior to the first day of school.  No information will be available until after the start of school.

Due to the Coronavirus and the unknown challenges we are facing, these dates may be adjusted if or when needed, once schools are reopening and the start date for your school has been determined.  These dates reflect schools starting as normal.  We are also waiting to hear what the CDC requirements will be regarding busing students and distancing.  Bus sanitizing will also be done after ever trip and follow CDC requirements.
