2025 Fall Pep Rally

This Pep Rally was a seasonal event. One to cherish and for many to roar on, as you may have heard the 8th graders were the victors Woo hoo! They put on a fight worth a clap. Determination and resilience to get that 1st place and so they did. Though let's talk about some memorable moments in regards to this event. One particular 8th grader, Kiera, had managed to dominate the Musical Chairs game. There was also the Tug of War in which the 12th graders had successfully withstood with their brute strength. It seems they wanted to make a standing impact knowing it’s their last year. We also have the 6th graders who managed to win their first pep rally during the Running Sponge game, outsmarting the other middle schoolers. They may not have won by running but they won by strategy and skill. Furthermore, there were also some spirited rivalries such as the 6th and 7th graders.

Furthermore, there were also some spirited rivalries such as the 6th and 7th graders. As I was interviewing the 6th graders they mentioned having some challenges with the 7th graders during the sponge race, but they were proud of how they tried to show good sportsmanship.” This was during the sponge race between the 6th graders and 8th graders. The 8th graders would once again win during the Hula Hoop contest. They won against the 7th graders showing they were not going to lose like they did the last 2 years. I know because I was screaming at the top of my lungs.

Now let’s head towards the end of the event. Several interviewers went around talking with notable teachers, classmates and staff members who were behind the games. One teenager reported, “We lost, but there is always room for improvement.” He exclaimed dramatically. When the 8th graders announced their win their roars were like a large army, terrifying yet exciting. It made me exchange a tear of happiness knowing we had come this far. Losing every rally and finally winning 1st place. This was a change in 8th grade history. Though there were other grades I will of course give credit to such as the 12th graders in regards to strength. The 6th graders in regards to strategy and 7th and 9th for friendship and socializing consistently.
